Old Oak Tree, Cades Cove, Tennessee

The image never looked right in color. Never. I shot this image in 2007 and it was in my “to be edited folder” waiting for four years, four months. I finally got around to the conversion. When I saw this potential image I wanted to capture the essence of the mighty oak tree. After trying several different compositions, I opted for this one as the rounded top of the mountain frames and highlights the oak tree.

      Majestic tree and the fog behind makes it stand out even more! I don't know exactly where Cades Cove is in TN, but if you visited here in 2007 last, you need to consider another trip, maybe... :o)
