Giving Something Back

Every year I volunteer my time and services to shoot a local musical event. These shots are from last year– This years event is coming up in a couple of weeks and I've been asked to come back. I can't wait!
I love these kids. They can all wail on the sax, guitar, and drums!

I wanted the 1930's, Old Blues Band look to this young mans image. This is the shot I planned for BEFORE pressing the shutter. In other words I KNEW what I wantd the final product to look like. His buddies were jeering, and goofing off just behind me getting him to break up laughing. I waited until a serious moment before pressing the shutter a number of times in order to nail a good shot due to the low shutter speeds and no flash.

      awesome set love the last one for the old look and the first for the mix of color and B&W well done....

      the last shot really does look like it comes from the 30's. have fun with this years' event and will look forward to seeing your pictures
