Film Sucks

I know this is a very broad statement. I still shoot film; I'm just ticked because the film I shot over the last two/three weeks came back and there was a problem with BOTH camera bodies. The few images I was able to salvage just weren't worth it cleaning up. I used Provia 100 instead of my Velvia ISO 50 that I use when I shoot medium format because I didn't want to be bothered using a tripod for most shots. Maybe I should say Provia 100 sucks for my tastes. Way too grainy. Color was dead on, but oh so grainy that even the ones I wanted to keep, I just didn't feel like dealing with noise reduction, etc. I am just sitting here wondering how many of us old-timers dealt with film back in the day? Heck, I shot weddings on medium format 120 film, ran home, and developed them in my bathroom BEFORE sunrise (to avoid light leaks) How? And we thought we had it all…
Thank goodness for digital! I don't know why I continue to torture myself shooting film; maybe it's the mystery, or the excitement, or the rebel in all of us…

the thing about film is the surprise you get when you develop the film and see the picture you took but for you it was a bad surprise that`s what i like with digital you can shot a 100 pic just for one but i guess it`s hard to let go old habits.......
