My freshman year at Kansas State University I got involved with a great organization called Engineers Without Boarders (EWB). EWB consists of professional and student based chapters. EWB USA aims to build a better world through engineering projects that empower communities to meet their basic human needs and equip leaders to solve the world’s most pressing challenges. My fall semester of Sophomore year, I was assigned the role of International Project Lead and I helped organize the assessment trip to our chapter's community in Guatemala. We got to travel to Joyabaj and gather preliminary information for the design of a sanitation system for the community of El Amate.
