On the list of `things to do' near Sa Pa is a visit to Love Waterfall, a pretty diversion on the way back from Mt Fansipan.

Love Waterfall is not the kind of place that would have you make a special trip across continents, but it's very pretty and well worth a look if you're in the Sa Pa area.

For the geeks out there, this is one reason I chose the Olympus OMD EM1 Mk II for my travels, paired with a stabilised 12-100 lens. You can take quite long exposures hand held and stay sharp.

Not unexpectedly, you have to strategically crop out things that are a bit jarring, such as a very big sign just out of shot to the right helpfully telling you you've reached Love Waterfall.

And back to the hotel in Sa Pa. A word on Vietnamese driving. Here we are in thick fog, one lane each way on a windy mountain road and a very steep drop to the right. Of course, a motorbike overtakes a minibus overtaking a truck, coming straight at us head on. You get used to it.
#4 - I wouldn't get used to THAT ...
But I could get used to that #1!
