Gorgeous old stone bridges dot the landscape of the beautiful Zagori region of northern Greece.

Bridge of Kokoris, between Dilofo and Kipi. Those places are just as pretty as their evocative names suggest.

Closer view of the Bridge of Kokoris.

And the same bridge from the other side. We could easily have spent the rest of the afternoon here but there were other bridges to see before the sun went down.

The 'three stringer' Bridge of Kalogeriko is much photographed, for good reason.

From the other side, facing the late afternoon sun.

The streams were nearly dry on our visit, as seen here at the Bridge of Petsioni.

The smaller Bridge of Milos was one of my favourites.

Afternoon light was disappearing so we had to be quick.

The old mill at the end of the bridge was an added attraction of Milos (I presume that's where its name came from).
WOW... I cannot pile 2 towels straight, but, back then, they were able to create amazing things!
In that case lucky I decided to cancel my next post on the famous towel bridges of Zagori. I must say they were incredibly crooked and rumpled.😉
