They did warn us - Day 2 of the Annapurna trek involves a very steep ascent.

Beautiful views early in the day before the rain set in.

Buildings were mostly painted blue, not sure why.

The steps told the story - today we were heading up. And up.

I was already feeling envious of the horses going the other way.

Finally some wildlife.

Through mountain rainforests.

Rhododendron forests.

And of course more of those goats from Tibet.

No choice. Jump!

Waterfalls.

By this time we had mostly run out of energy for photographs. Which is a shame because there were stunning things around us everywhere.

On and on the path went, always upwards.

More goats! We must have passed thousands over the five days.

The mist was really settling in, time to get to our tea house accommodation.

And the rain was getting heavier. Paths were harder to traverse.

At last, we reached our second night accommodation, near Poon Hill. Would all the hard work be worth it? Or would it just be a white out? We'd find out in the morning.
Great Pictures John and some of your subjects were very good models in staying put. Like the way the pathways lead you on
Thanks Jim! More to come!
