A while back when I was walking I came across some rabbits that were playing in the field. It made me happy just to watch them :) Unfortunately I wasn't in a good position to take photos and they ran around so fast I didn't have much time to adjust my settings either.
I managed to get this one shot though. My shutter speed wasn't high enough to get a sharp image, but I think the blur adds to their speed in a way...
Do you do any post processing? Snapseed or Lightroom or others would allow you to lighten the image somewhat.
Yes I use Lightroom :)
And I already brightened it up quite a bit, the original is much darker. Making it more bright didn't really improve it anymore
If you haven't done this already, reopen that image in Lightroom and hit "auto" at the top of the adjustments panel. I'd be surprised if it didn't make a huge improvement. If I'm right, compare what you had done with what "auto" does to all the various settings. I'm assuming you shot this in raw. If in jpg, you might be right - the original image might not have the colors for Lightroom to bring out if your jpg image was already real dark.
That's a great tip! I can't believe I never thought of doing that
Unfortunately in this case the automatic settings tend to overexpose the image a little. And I tend to like my images less bright, but that's personal taste of course! :p
