Day 225: Running on Empty

Gas Tank-important, Wallet- equally as important

After a relaxed morning at the cabin (finished Perks of Being a Wallflower- so. good.), I left after lunch.

But an hour down the road near Milaca, I realized that I needed to gas up. But at that exact moment, I realized that I didn't know where my wallet was.

I searched high and low in my cab, but no candle.

I had left it somewhere. Too bad I had left my cell phone in St. Paul and couldn't call anyone about it. If I ran out of gas, I was SOL.

So I had to drive an hour back to the cabin to search for it. I was freaking out the entire drive, worrying that I wouldn't make it. But I did, and luckily found my wallet on top of a bed.

But my journey to the cities was doubled by my stupidity. I mean, I could have driven home for how much time that took.

I really should learn my lesson about forgetting things.
