Bylakuppe- a Tibetan settlement

by Jothindra Paranji July. 06, 2016 768 views

Tibetans fled into India with the Dalai Lama in the late 1950's when their country was invaded by the Chinese. The government of India provided lands for them to build their houses, temples and also to grow crops. This has helped them preserve their unique culture which has been totally destroyed by the Chinese in their own country. The Dalai Lama acknowledges the fact. And the people have added some extra flavour to the already rich Indian culture.

These photos were taken while a visit to one of their settlements.
