Yesterday, the Equinox Happened in Our Driveway

I’m really pleased with the way this turned out, because the colors are basically SOOC. One of the settings that even RAW files capture is White Balance. I knew that I wanted a very warm light to portray the Autumnal Equinox,, so I hard-set the camera from “Auto-WB” to “Shade”. That WB setting assumes there is a very “blue” light, and consequently sets the WB warm to compensate. When using that “shade” setting in “not shade”, the result is a distinct warm cast.

I had to go try your trick after reading your commentary. The sun had disappeared but the sky was blue and some staggered clouds were hanging around. The clouds ended up with a pink tinge just by changing the WB to shade.smile
