Day 78: Of a Silhouetted Songbird, Singing

I'm feeling terribly photographically uninspired today. Regardless, I grabbed my camera and walked out back with a cross-my-fingers-and-hope-something-happens attitude. I snapped a few shots here and there of random things, then heard this songbird singing. I snapped a few shots, hoping I could make something of the picture in the post-processing work.

I then remembered my wife's current obsession with birds and bird silhouettes. I then realized that I had an instant favorite for my wife. I showed it to her, and she wanted it framed.

After being so uninspired and photographically grumpy, it's refreshing to find a diamond in the rough.

I can't tell you how much I've had that happen. Just when I give up is when I find an image. This is a great photo! Well done!

Can't wait to see it hanging in the house! It almost looks like it was cut out of black paper and glued to sheet of paper. Good find after all!
