The columns at the University of Arkansas' Mullins' Library have always fascinated me. I've never tried photographing the repeating line pattern of them, but got a chance the other day.
I wasn't sure what mood I wanted, so I did 3 edits of the same shot. The first is essentially as it appeared. The 2nd is a ghostly effect, which is what my mood thinks of when walking down this walkway. Something about so many places for attackers to jump out at me, I guess. The 3rd is simply a charcoal rendering, bringing out the textures and contrast of light & dark concretes.

Love the perspective. I like #3 best. Seems softer and balanced.
