Scissor-Tailed Flycatcher

I've noticed many scissor-tailed flycatchers along my morning commute to the office this week. But when your camera is at home, it doesn't do much good when you want to take a picture.

Today, I grabbed my camera…just in case. And the perfect scenario appeared to photograph this great bird! I parked at my office, and this guy was sitting about 10 feet away at eye level! I snuck around the back of the car to grab my camera, and got a few pics of him before he flew away.

Sadly, the angle I had didn't allow for highlighting the wonderful scissor-tail. But what a sweet face!!

A beautiful capture, John. This is a lovely bird in flight - or just sitting and posing!
