Luang Prabang Province

The journey from Vientiane to the town of Luang Prabang was quite uneventful, except for a scary bus ride through a pass where we weren’t sure if we would tumble down a cliff in the heavy fog and spinning wheels on the muddy road.

Luang Prabang has a lot to offer in terms of markets for local handicrafts, food and drinks, day trips to some regional attractions and, as everywhere in Vietnam and Laos, blaring karaoke sung by jovial locals.

New Year’s Eve itself was nice and quiet - we ended up having a relaxed evening, enjoying some drinks and playing cards until 2 am.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Da Marianne frisch am Fuss operiert ist (Hallux), haben wir es gemütlich gemacht mit Nachtessen in der Beiz, aus- und einläuten bei der Schwester von Marianne und dann nichts wie heim ins Bett 😀 😀
