Nong Khiaw

The further north in Laos you go, the more remote are the towns and villages you come across, with fewer tourists respectively. Although Nong Khiaw seems to be the northern town still frequently visited by visitors (there is no shortage of guest houses, bars and small restaurants), it is very calm, quiet and peaceful. We have very much enjoyed it here so far and even extended our stay by another night as we like it so much.

The pictures below were all taken in and around the town, including the peak viewpoint on Pha Daeng Mountain, reachable on foot within 1.5 hours.
