Tea Time

After the heat along the coast we were glad to see some rainfall and some cooler temperatures in the central hills near Hatton, in the midst of countless tea plantations. Being a tea person where my days usually start and end with a wonderful cup of tea, I was in absolute heaven.

The fresh and delicious tea available in that area soothed my soul after a long stretch of not really having had tea the way I am used to. Not only was the tea so wonderfully delicious, but the rolling hills of the succulently green plantations were beautiful to see. They even reminded me of a slightly tropical and exotic version of Hobbiton, where a large tree visible from our accommodation could have easily held its position above Bag End.

While we enjoyed the views and the product of the region we also visited a tea factory to understand more about the production process of tea which was enlightening.

Du machst nicht nur schöne Bilder, sondern schreibst auch sophisticated Texte.

Merci, ich versuche zumindest den Bildern ein wenig Kontext zu geben.

A great series of images. I love the black and white ones of the factory procssing the tea leaves.

Thanks, Russel. I wanted to give some contrast between the more industrial process versus the nature shots.
