Your last flowers. I found them on the floor this morning.

Not smooth and pale anymore. Raised, crinkled, breaking down.

believe me, I know how you feel.

Myself, I've found it vaguely shameful - all this evidence of age creeping over me.

and I'm grateful for the warnings, prompting me to waken.


Only now I notice your juicy new leaf!
