Pretend birthdays at school are a very big deal to four year olds!

Today was Alayna's pretend birthday at school. Her birthday is in the summer and to be sure that she is able to have her special day at school, they celebrate a pretend one.

We made fruit kabobs again since they were such a big hit last year. At least the teachers were begging for them, if not the children.

Her teacher makes a very big deal over their special day and it's a highlight of the year. This year, Scott and I both were able to come and surprise Alayna. It meant the world to her to have her Daddy there too.

The fruit kabobs we made to share as her birthday treat.

Jerad helps her pass them out to two of her bff's at school, Alyssa and Emma.

Soaking in the attention as her friends sing her Happy Birthday.

Oh, yeah, they're good! :)

I love this day...great captures. Even the pretend birthdays are special...Alyssa has to have a "pretender" too since she is 12-26...no school after Christmas. They still love it. Makes me want to go back and start posting my pictures...since I did not post from Dec.14-Jan. 30th...I was so not with it during that time... :(
Super Job Shel. Love the last picture! Too cute. Alyssa was talking about those kabobs! She loved them.
