A trip to the Firehouse

I went with Alayna's preschool class on a trip to a local Fire Station. The firefighters were quite entertaining and made the trip very worthwhile. We toured the ambulance, their living quarters, watched them come down the fire pole, and got to see the firetrucks up close and personal. The highlight for most of the kids was getting to turn on the water and hold the fire hose …. exciting stuff.

The firefighters showed the children around the ambulance and did a couple a practice emergencies.

Our first look at the firetrucks

Alayna takes her turn with the firehouse.

This little guy is in my carpool and he was just beyond excited about today's trip. Just look at that grin. He's on cloud nine!

In full firefighter gear to show the kids!

My goddaughter, Alyssa, takes her turn.

They turned on the “big” hose from the top of the truck and shot it across the street.

The whole class.
