Tawawa Park - Gratitude #17 Chaperoning fieldtrips

by Shelly April. 29, 2009 245 views

Tawawa Park day. This has been one of my favorite field trips that they take at Serendipity …. I've been on this trip five times with the preschool. (Scott went with Alayna last year as I went with Jackson the day before.)

We had a cloudy day this year, but the rain stayed away and it turned out to be a great trip.

This weeks gratitude thought brings me to how grateful I am to be able to chaperone so many field trips with my kids. I know that so many of my gratitude thoughts center around what I am able to do because I am a stay-at-home mom, but I just realize how lucky, how truly blessed I am to have the priviledge of spending this time with my kids in this way. I am very grateful that I have both the oppertunity and the desire to attend these field trips and learn right along with the children ….. and it makes it so special for my kids when I am there to share in this part of their world.

The traditional picture on the steps ….. a little too wet to sit this year.

Following the “mother duck” …… Mrs. Kuhn

Tromping over the “Troll Bridge”

Lunch break

Everyone's favorite …… playing in the rocks and stream

The BIG Rock ……. at first they all try to push it and then they pose in front of it.

Racing for the hill …… the end of a long and fun day.

I share your gratitude thoughts exactly. I did work for 2 years when Joshua was little. I know being at home won't last forever, so I am trying to enjoy it all now! Just went on a field trip today.
