Friday, our last full day, we spent at Epcot.

We arrived at opening and hit all the major ride attractions while the weather cooperated. We had lunch reservations at the Coral Reef. There is a gigantic aquarium that goes floor to ceiling and wall to wall. We were lucky enough to get a table very close to it. I tried to get some photos, but nothing I got was very exciting. Funny thing is, I was trying so hard to get shots of the fish without a flash, I think they ended up looking like ghosts in the photos ….. not sure if I posted one that did or not. But, it was a very strange effect.

It poured just before lunch and continued for about 4 hours - constant downpour. But, after lunch, we just donned our ponchos and headed out to the World Showcase.

Garrett bought a passport and the other kids made masks that they took to each country to have stamped and have their names written in that language. They all really enjoyed that very much. Scott and I very much enjoyed tasting all the beers from around the world (and wine in France, of course). Hmmm, maybe that is why the rain didn't bother us quite as much today. :)

The rain stopped late in the afternoon, lifting everyone's spirits even more. We settled in for the fireworks - what a great show!

All in all, a fabulous last day!

Aquarium at the Coral Reef restaurant

The whole family. Another fabulous meal!

They got their masks, decorated them and them carried them to all the countries to get stamped and their name written on them in the language of that country. This was very cool.

Oh yes, another parka day ……. aren't they stylin'?

This was probably one of our most magical moments of the whole trip. We were in England and the kids were getting their masks stamped in the toy store. While we were waiting, Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland breeze into the store. Alayna was right where Mary Poppins set up to greet the guests and she was in the front of the line. Mary Poppins chatted and chatted with her for like 5 minutes. Alayna just carried on the sweetest conversation with her. Mary Poppins said to Scott, “Spit spot, dad. What a wonderful daughter, so well mannered.” To which, he shined of course and answered, “Give our best to Burt. Sorry about his chalk drawings, they surely washed away on a day like today.” “Indeed,” she answered …. continually in character. :)

I couldn't help posting a few of my shots of this moment. It was just so special. We decided not to wait for Alice as a line was well-formed by the time Alayna was done chatting with Mary.

Garrett in Morroco

Today's lifesaver. Hee hee, that sounds terrible, but really, it was great fun trying all the different beers. We really liked the Morrocan beer a lot.

After we left Mary Poppins in England. We headed to France. While looking for the kidcot for their masks we ran right into Aurora and Belle …. hidden from the crowds with no one in line. Again, Alayna shined as she spoke with the princesses ……. magical.

In Morroco, we turned a corner and you guessed it … their was Jasmine ……. just waiting for Alayna, again with no one in line. What a great afternoon for our own princess.

As you can see, their not always angels …….. here they are trying to climb into the exhibit in China.

Trying on Viking hats in Norway.

I played around with the kids a bit while Garrett and Scott got our dinner and we waited for the fireworks.

Almost time ……….

I LOVE the pics. of Alayna, how special for her! 2 of our favorite rides were at Epcot...Test Track and Soarin. Did you ride them? We will have to visit the countries next time we go. Disney was by far, our favorite vacation so far.
