I am a Warrior

Today, Scott and I, along with an adventurous group of our friends, raced in the Warrior Run in Logan County (Hocking Hills), OH.

It's billed as “the craziest frickin' day of your life” - and it was pretty close! It's a 5K (3.2 mile) run through muck and mud - uphill 2/3rds of the way - over and under obstacles such as cargo net walls, lakes with logs to climb over, fire to jump over, junk yards full of cars to get through and others, ending with a pit of mud that you must crawl through while crawling under barbed wire!

It was the most challenging thing I've ever accomplished!

Pre-race campers.

Pre-race campers doing the chicken dance.

ONE pile of muddy shoes to be donated. They stunk.

My nervous smile

Our entire group - pre-race. We wore Oktoberfest t-shirts and chicken hats to promote the Minster Oktoberfest 10K race.

And we're off. Still nervous.

Garrett took all the of pictures. He could only see us at this wall and then at the end. Scott scales the cargo rope wall.

This is very near the end of the race and he looks strong.

I finally catch up and scale the wall with Tricia and Brenda, Steve and Keith.

Whew, made it over one of the fires.

Entering the mud pit to crawl under the barb wire. Talk about stinky!

Finishing with Tricia.

All done - and muddy
