Show Us The Trees In Your Garden!

Do you know about the people who photograph and blog everything they eat? So many people are doing this that camera manufacturers are even providing a setting to shoot the food at its colorful best.
In that general trend I would like to suggest that we blog about the tree we are most proud of in our garden this present season and leave the link in the comments of this blog post.
Why trees? Because trees are going to be around for a long while once grown they require little water and are majestic in their presence in the garden. Furthermore we need them to attract the rain bearing clouds. And they provide oxygen, fruit, flowers and shade in the summers.
And if this post inspires somebody to plant his favorite sapling this monsoons, all to the good.

This Jaipur [karansguesthouse.wordpress.com]

Yellow Oleander,Thevetia peruviana,be-still tree,lucky nut bean,exile tree,tiger apple,peeli kaner.
Small evergreen tree from Mexico & West Indies. Even the goats do not eat it because of its poisonous milky sap. Other varieties of this plant have white and peach colored flowers but all are to be used with extreme caution because of their poisonous nature.

The yellow oleander in the blog post is right in the front of my house. Most of the other trees are from different sites in the city of Jaipur. In urban Jaipur the usual gardens are small. So people plant trees right outside their homes on the road side for some greenery, shade and privacy. One of the last things my father did was to plant saplings around the three sides of the house we live in. They are quite big and pretty now.

Yey. We also have this kind of plant in Thailand, and yes, it's poisonous. I love the idea of posting the trees. I'll make a post about it tomorrow.
