You'll get there soon enough. I was a stay at home for 10 years. Waited until both kids were school age. Then I went back to work. Now 20 years later I think I am ready for another change. Moving to France would be a great change, but since that is not happening for me, I shall look elsewhere. I can understand your anxiety but guaranteed, it will all work out smile

Wow what a devotion to your children. I'm sure they are beautiful and greatfull. How did you redefine yourself? Was it hard ? The beauty of feminism is that we have now the choice to stay-at-home or work or do both...I feel now that I need to move along, jump in the rat-race, that's my temperement. kids are in school (5 and 7 )....This might more information you were looking for but selfishly, it makes me feel good.  Thank you for your kind words.

I don't know if you call it redefining myself, but I knew I was not happy getting up and going to work, while sending my son to a daycare. So that part was easy. Then by the time he was five the second one came, so obviously I couldn't send her to daycare either. But once she was old enough for school, I could not see myself staying home and doing nothing. Fortunately, my work hours matched the kids's school hour, so it was a win win situation. :)
