Black & White

Newstead Abbey

One of my greatest fears is losing my eyesight, I love seeing the beauty all around, whether it's the glorious English countryside or my wife and cat in the back garden or even traffic appearing through the mist. Beauty presents itself in all shapes at all times - all you have to do is see.

Black and white photographs bring out the beauty of form and atmosphere by concentrating the mind on what is and isn't in the image, stripping the unnecessary noise of colour.

Except that sometimes nature strips the colour for you, two of these photo's ARE colour...

Lorry in the mist
