Bad Day

Today was a rough day for both hubs and me, so we decided to go out to dinner and relax a little. Met up with a friend for a couple drinks and some eats and came out feeling much better only to find that while we were in the restaurant eating, someone smashed up my car. Great.
I have no idea who did it or why…could be mistaken identity or an over-entitled kid that thought it would be funny, or just plain randomness. Either way, my car got hurt. They hit my windshield with something hard…and hit it really hard. It cracked through the laminate and both sheets of glass. I had broken glass on the dashboard. There was also a large dent in the quarter panel like someone threw a shoulder into it. We were parked in a visible area under a light and yet, nobody saw anything and there are no security cameras, so really we're just left with a busted up car and no recourse.
It just never ceases to amaze me how inconsiderate and downright mean people can be. I'm really trying not to get all jaded and cynical over this, it just feels like I'm being punished for working hard lately.

The upside is that I had some neat glass textures to take photos of and at least the insurance company covers windshield replacement 100%.

near ground zero

Great textures but so sorry to hear about the pointless vandalism you've suffered.
