Tiny Tidepools

I drove down to Sebastian Beach today to get out of the house for a bit and, after some initial frustration, I found a cool little tide pool to take pictures of. While I was editing these I had to switch from my offline editing program to a more lightweight, web browser based editor because my laptop was being really slow. The first was done in View NX2 and the second and third photo were done in Polarr. At first glance, I can't really tell a difference but I would be interested to hear what you may have to say about it.

As far as news in my life goes, my new job starts March 6th with six weeks of paid training and benefits from the get-go. I'm pretty excited about it and I'm really looking forward to making some friends in Nanaimo through work.

Since work starts in a few weeks, I'm going to try to really take advantage of all my free time. Keeping up this blog will be a part of that but I'm also getting more serious about learning the music that I'll be performing at a wedding this summer.

Also, Rileigh and I might start taking singing lessons. We both always felt like we were kind of bad at singing and think it would be a fun and productive thing to do together. Hopefully we are not hopeless at getting better!

Anyways. Hope you like the photos!

Love this angle and the small depth of field.
Thanks for sharing, Kelly!

Thanks! I was in a very uncomfortable position for these shots, so I'm glad it was worth it!
