Went out to Beachcomber Park today in Nanoose Bay and I had a pretty tough time with the camera but came out with this cool perspective on a tree. I really wish I had a zoom lens though because we saw probably ten eagles at the park. One lady said they were waiting around for us to leave so they could eat the dead sea lion that washed up on the shore. I didn't think that eagles would eat carrion but a quick google search confirmed it.
The park itself was a nice little beach with a rocky outcrop and the drive through Nanoose Bay had a lot of fancy houses to look at. Roofs with so many angles that they resemble a pile of broken glass. We are running out of beaches in our immediate area to visit, and, because I reckon we are pretty spoiled, we still haven't really found a beach that we could spend a day at in the summer. Luckily, though, Parksville is not such a long ways away.
Anyways, I hope you like the photo!
