Key

There is a Key to it all.
Without the Key the door can never be opened
And thin false emulations are pretended
Until the weather turns bad
And they can’t find shelter for they have not the Key.
So it all gets dirty
And is revealed as plain worldly
And falling apart.
It’s a sad story and I’ve seen it over again…

But the Key fits perfectly
Turns the lock
Opens the door
And through the door there’s a change,
A foundation,
A shelter,
A home unbreakable,
A Father
A Teacher
A Family unshakable.

Don’t leave this place
Don’t lose the Key
Don’t despise correction
But learn to be
In the Family.

This poem was written while thinking of Jesus, the Key to life, love, marriage and family, without whom all falls apart.
