little corella

this pair of little corella were spotted while walking in the flinders rangers national park. when not breeding they gather in large flocks. this pair were somewhat disturbed at our presence swarking loudly and flying at us so I suspect there were young in a nest close by….

What gorgeous birds... those huge blue eyes give them quite a comical look in a few of the shots, like #4, as if to say "otta' my territory Bud!" :-)
