Our last full day in Dublin. Originally we were supposed to fly to Glasgow for the day to visit with my friend Sharon. However, after making the trip to and from the airport, we realized it would've made for a long and expensive day, so decided not to go and see a few more sites around Dublin that we hadn't made it to yet. For this, I am extremely thankful! I looooved visiting Dublin Castle. These pictures do it absolutely no justice and the history of the building was incredibly interesting. After our tour we ate lunch at the Bull & Castle, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was great. Following lunch we headed back to the hotel to repack and make sure we had everything and then headed out one last time for dinner and to wander around O'Connell St to look at Christmas lights and decorations before heading back to the hotel and calling it a night. What a truly wonderful vacation it was :)

Arriving at Dublin Castle (obviously)

Waiting for our tour to begin…

The dining room - which, while the building was actually used, was the King's bedroom!

The doorknobs were incredible…

So was the wood work…

… the plaster on the ceilings…

Oh yeah… and the gold gilded ceiling in the hallway…

This was the lady's room…

Incredible chandelier, huh? Not something you would want falling on your head… solid bronze

Original walls of the castle - underneath the newer building.

Brett and his “Galway Hooker” at the Bull

The view from our little table! :)

Some delicious Irish stew and homemade bread! Soooo good, especially on a chilly day

Brett's Bangers N' Mash… also delicious!

Brett hanging out with Molly Malone

The church where Bram Stoker was married - cool huh?

Irish Parliament building

Christmas Tree on O'Connell Street

Looking UP O'Connell…

… and down…
