Surely, everyone knows that Hurricane Irma is headed for Florida. One of my daughters lives in Miami Beach. She is waiting until tomorrow morning to evacuate inland. It's not easy, but I am doing my very best to stay distracted and detached from all the "what-if" scenarios. She is a wise young woman, and I must trust her level-headed upbringing to guide her to safety. That, and my faith.

I took a walk up back after work today, and was happy to pick up a hand full of acorns. Their bumpy little caps and watermelon colored bodies felt nice in my hands.
Great photo! I too am in Florida, northeast of Orlando. We have supplies ready and my faith has my heart and soul ready, if it's God's will. I'm good either way! I'll pray for her and everyone else traveling during these trying times.
Oh, Phyllis, it's so nerve wracking watching the news reports, and tracking this massive storm! She has safely arrived in Orlando. Thank you so much for your prayers and kindness.
