More travels with my Holga

by Kevin Marshall January. 11, 2007 5649 views

As some of you might know, i have an affinity for a plastic camera which uses medium format film called a Holga.

Now this camera is so badly made… the results it gets can be… interesting. As per normal for film, I'm using slide film.

I got a couple of films developed & scanned… and will be posting shots over the next few days.

Comments very welcome.

*Boring technical notes: shot an Holga 120N, probably on the night setting, with a probable 1/100 shutter and at f8 (probably) on top of a 915 bus, with Fuji Provia 100*

The thing with a Holga... each one is slightly different. For example the back on my one is prone to falling off. Others have stronger vingeretting... others have light leaks.

Basiclly, they're all very very random.... and a useful addition to the camera bag.

This is the coolest shot. It is interesting the different characters each kind of camera has.
