Sahara Sunset

I have a lot of recent images from Morocco so I might be sharing a lot of them here. The very first night I was in this desert, we were riding to our camp on camels and I was looking around for something of interest. This one lone palm tree was the only unique point of interest that I could see. As soon as we reached the camp I struck out on foot to get a photo before the sun set.

About five minutes after I took this shot the desert was pitch black and I spent another 30 minutes looking for my camp. The shot was worth it though I think.

Great photo indeed, Kevin ! Is that the footprints of the camels in the foreground ?

That would add to the romance of the photo I suppose but no, those are my own footprints. I took a few shots in front of the footprints to get the nice clean sand and then decided to try this framing, and I liked the image better with the footprints in the foreground.

For some reason it looks like they are too far apart to be human footprints. So I would add to the previous comments: Nice Point of view.
