Repeating Patterns

The other day, I was experimenting with shadows of objects to compose some (semi-)abstract images.

For this one below, I pointed a flashlight at a mesh waste paper basket in front of a white wall. This created varying repetitions/patterns of the mesh: the lit mesh on the forefront of the basket, the darker mesh on the backside of the basket, which criss-crosses with the shadow of the mesh on the white wall.

It was a fun experiment with light/dark contrast!
