Next Doors Homemade Jam.....

…was a bit solid….they gave us some plum jam but left the stones in when they cooked it, this ment that the pectin set the jam completley and made it impossible to spread on bread or toast, so they asked for the jar back to have another try I tried soaking the jar in boiling water to soften the jam..no luck..in the end I microwaved it for a couple of minutes and it started to move very slowly

I held this jar upside down for about ten minutes waiting for the jam to drop

It reminded me of the Pitch Drop Experiment [smp.uq.edu.au] done in Australia
