Day 43: Drenched In Rain

by Ivan Steenkamp February. 13, 2017 380 views

We were blessed to get a short spurt of rain today. After the rain clouds emptied themselves out, I went outside looking for something that had raindrops on it. These grapevine leaves had lots of raindrops on them and it also looked good on them. I removed some of the reflections on the leaves by using my polarising filter.

Rain is very precious to us, as it is for many people, because we depend on it for all our water needs. So, every time it rains we are very happy!

I like how the water-drops trickle down and collect at the tip of the leaves

Edited in Photoshop with Color Efex Pro And Sharpener Pro (both are free plugins from Google).

Shot on my D5300 in JPG (accidentally, I think it is best to always shoot in RAW), lens was a Nikon 50mm prime, aperture at f/2.8, Shutter speed of 1/200, ISO-400.

...

Have a great day!
