Day 85: Our Apple Tree

In our garden we have a few apple trees. I decided today is the day to post them for my 85th day. They are not ripe yet, but will soon be.

I discovered a technique a few months ago, which is to zoom a wide-angle lens out wide and then focusing as close as possible to an object. It shows the environment it is an while still blurring out the things furthest in the background. I would not recommend using this technique for most portraits as it will distort the face.

I think the technique works well for this photo...
