Day 88: Bokelicious

This weeks theme is right up my ally! I really like to have a lot of blur/bokeh behind or in front of my subjects. It makes photos look much more interesting and cool!

When I noticed the orange evening light falling onto this vase of Bunnytail Grass I did not hesitate to take photos. I think they are the perfect subjects for this weeks theme!

 I used my 50mm f/1.8 lens to get maximum bokeh.

Bunny tail grass in a ceramic vase lit from behind by the orange sun. Bokeh balls are behind it.

Metadata: D5300, 50mm lens, f/2.8, 1/1000 sec, ISO-200.

Editing: Raw edits in Camera Raw, colour and contrast correction in Color Efex Pro, matte effect to shadows in Photoshop.

BOKEH = noun.  a Japanese term for the subjective aesthetic quality of out-of-focus areas of a photographic image. All lenses can create some kind of bokeh, but the REALLY nice, drool-worthy bokeh is......
