Day 103: Rain On A Chair

The weather has taken a turn in New Zealand. Part of Cyclone Debbie hit the North Island and did a lot of damage in many places over the island. Kaitaia suffered no damage that I know of.

After the rain had passed and the sun had came out I went onto the deck to get some fresh air. I noticed this chair with water droplets on it and thought it would make an OK photo for the day. I forgot about it for a while so when I remembered it the sun had evaporated some of the water.

I like how realistic the water droplets look on screen.

The reason why I converted it to Black and White was to emphasise the form and pattern of the water droplets.

Water droplets with highlights on them. The droplets are on a chair. The photo is in Black and White

Metadata: D5300, 18-105mm @ 45mm, ƒ/5, 1/400, ISO-400.

Editing: Photoshop and Camera Raw. I converted the photo to B&W in CR. High Pas filter to sharpen it.

...

My best wishes goes out to those people in the parts of New Zealand that got hit hard by Cyclone Debbie.
