Day 126: Feeding The Fish

At the start of this year we took up the hobby of keeping fish. It has been really rewarding to have pet fish. It does take a bit of work to look after all the fish (cleaning, changing the water, feeding) but it is worth it.

I took this photo when I had just fed them. These orange fish are called Mickey Mouse Platy. Do you see the black Mickey Mouse logo on their tails?

I turned auto focus off, framed the scene and waited for the fish to swim in front of the camera and then took the photo. AF was not able to lock focus in the water.

Platies are livebearers, that is to say that they retain the eggs inside their bodies and give birth to live, free-swimming young.
