Today I just got the sudden inspiration to do some light painting. I decided to try out a technique that I have not tried before. Spirograph light painting!
My light source was a small flashlight with some tape over the front (and a small whole in the tape to reduce the amount of light) suspended from the ceiling with string. I put my camera on the ground and used my 18mm lens to get as much of the ceiling in frame as possible.
I experimented with the speed and direction of the swing I gave to the flashlight until I achieved this photo.
After I shot the photo I did a little bit more experimenting.
While the light was swinging overhead, I also zoomed the lens in during the exposure... I was very surprised to get a decent photo at all!
Editing: Photoshop, Camera Raw, Color Efex Pro.
I am slowly trying to catch up with my backlog of photos for my 365 day project. Thanks for being understanding!
