07.30.13 - Berkeley

The last few days we've been biking the 2 or so miles up to campus so John can have his office hours and teach and I can do some work and wander the campus. I usually sit outside Cafe Strada because it has a really nice, large, outdoor patio before meeting John for lunch. We mill about longer on campus until we go for a run up on the fire trail or elsewhere, then finally bike it home, fighting a little bit more traffic than our morning commute usually contains. It's a pretty nice routine we have going, except I usually get a little chilly by noon as I wait for the sun to come out. And I feel a little bit like a vagabond, but I suppose it's the college hipster way of doing things.

Some pictures from our outings and campus view's from John's summer office setting.

Bikes have 2 locks and one chain on them. Every time we return to them we count four tires and two seats…

The view northeast (I believe) from his office

And view west
