Today my friend and her daughter popped round to help me out with a photography project. The actual one I planned on didn't go as well as I had hoped, but Millie was more than willing to pose for me and salvage the day (and see how my mini studio/spare room works out for portraits).

I tried to let her get her silly poses out of the way first so she would feel more relaxed and then moved on to some cuter shots. I think the last one is my favourite as I caught her laughing in between some silly poses, so the smile looks really natural.

I would love your input on how I could improve any of these shots.

I really like them Dannii, portraits of people are very hard. Nice to see you back in the swing of things photography wise :^)

It is very difficult to shoot portraits of children - and you did very good! The only thing I would suggest - to go on her level when you shoot if you know what I mean - so her whole head is in the picture and you have more space above her head.
