This is a bit of a flashback post, back in October 2014 we visited Marrakech for 5 days. If you thought a western capital city like London was busy, you would be wrong, I genuinely do not know if Marrakech sleeps.
I certainly wish I had taken some of the advice, such as pay the extra for your hotel to taxi you from the station, but life is an adventure and you live and learn. The arrival night may have been a bit of a shock with getting lost and people wanting money because you looked in their direction, but by the next morning we hardened up and got into the swing of it.
This bustling city has so many hidden gems, you walk into your Riad and are presented with such amazing beauty, the street food arounf the market square is cheap and flavourful. The ruins/sites are so amazing, my photos really did not do the places justice, but admist the ruins are photography museums and beautiful gardens. And it is an absolute must to visit the Atlas mountains. We did a 7 waterfalls of Setti Fatma which was breath taking. Despite it being listed as suitable for beginners, it certainly wasn't but we had the best tour guide who really helped me with some of the climbing.
Whislt you're out there don't forget to spend some time drinking their mint tea and taking the time for a Hammam spa, you will not regret it.
I hope you enjoy some of my photos.
