Adventures in Israel - Jerusalem Part 4

by Dannii L November. 14, 2017 420 views

Welcome back and if you have been following my posts, we are near the end of our first full day in Jerusalem. On our way back to our appartment we were just wandering around the new city and taking in what was around us, much of which I won't bore you with, however one thing that did take our fancy was the street art.

I have made other posts about this from other cities, I am facinated with street art, not graffiti tagging, actual art and much of this I hope you agree is art.

We also walked through Mehane Yehuda Market, which at the time was shut, many of the shutters have been painted and it looks deliberate

We did manage to walk through the market the next morning whilst it was open, so a grabbed a cheeky photo too.

Once again thank you for visiting and viewing. More of my adventures will be posted next week.

Tells about the art in Machane Yehudah.

From what I understand, the murals are part of a cultural project to bring new life into the market place after dark.  I believe some of the art is representative of the owner of the stall or what their produce is.
Due to the timing of when I was there, I was unable to see any nightlife in Mechane Yehudah, if there is any.  But it certainly felt safe to wander around in the evening

I have another street art post planned for one of the next cities I visited, so keep coming back to see my posts x
