This final day was a scorcher, and we decided to get started early and take the walk up to the Slavin Monument, maybe a 30 minute from Old Town. We walked passed the Grassolkovich Palace first, which is where the President resides. On the first day, we did stop passed here and saw the changing of the guards. There is also a garden but there was nothing much to see, it was more a place people stopped for lunch.
We then continued on our walk up hill to the Slavin Monument.
This place was so quiet and peaceful and although we some some boys skateboarding, they still seemed very respectful.
We headed back down to Old Town for our final morning of sight seeing as our flight was that day, there were some main sights to see, such as St Martin's Cathedral, we timed it just right as even though a Saturday there were lots of ceremonies and only a small window for tourists.
We quickly also saw the Franciscan Church, but it looked like there was a Christening, so we only took photos outside before visiting the Old Town Hall.
This was a very interesting museum with an amazing view point. Unfortunately time was starting to run shot, so we had to rush through and then didn't visit the basement.
A few final snaps of the sights before getting to the airport
Please come back to visit for one last Bratislava post, all related to street art I stumbled across.
