Day 3/365 ::HEALTHY::

I've been a member of "Blogland" for years, and I've been sharing stories about sewing, quilting and knitting since 2007. Before I bought my Panasonic lumix GX8 I used to use a smaller compact camera (Panasonic LX5) to take "snapshots" of my projects and other stuff I've been doing, like hiking and trips together with my family. My sewing room has been my "Happy Place" since I started sewing and quilting in 2004, and this is where I spend my time as often as I can. Sewing,knitting and photography is my way to stay healthy. Cutting fabrics, sewing and knitting keeps my brain busy while photography does the same but it also gets me out of the house and experiencing new things and new places. Some goes regularly to the gym to stay healthy, I do my hobbies :-)

Today I spent most of the day cutting into fabrics and piecing some of them together for the new project I started. This gave me an opportunity to try to photograph my work, and I tried to do it in an interesting way. Used my tripod (which I don't usually use, but working on getting better at...) Used manual mode so I could use longer shutter speed to get the lowest ISO (which I'm also trying to learn more about, since I usually use Aperture mode), did a little edit in Lightroom... and this is the result of today's "photo session". Guess some of you can understand what I'm talking about when I say "Happy colors" make me happy :-)

Working with Happy Colors makes me happy!
