City street scenes

Snow can be amazingly beautiful but terribly inconvenient too. Amidst the dying city noises and deserted public places, the sound of the snow plow trucks becomes eeringly loud.

I took these snow photos from my last ski trip in Tahoe during the February winter storm. I got hold of my camera while sitting inside the car at a gas station. I was not very brave hearted to step outside in the bitter cold. But somehow these photos turned out to be magical in an otherwise ghostly town hiding beneath a thick white blanket of snow...

Is the highway that goes all the way around the lake...?  Just wondering...

Yes! What you are talking about is South Lake Tahoe...the drive by emerald bay is gorgeous but more narrower and curvy.
These photos were taken in a small town in North Lake Tahoe... close to I 80.

I used to stay in Tahoe Vista for a number of years....loved it there...sometimes I wish I never moved back down to the city...
